WEEKLY REFLECTION

 REFLECTION

WEEK 1

Prof Yusof gave us an overview of the course's guidelines and learning outcomes during the first week. Although the assignments may appear difficult, I am confident that by the conclusion of this course, we will be capable leaders. Prof Yusof discussed fundamental aspects of leadership, such as its nature, definition, and style. The important word he emphasizes is "influence," and how leaders should use it effectively. Role-playing and role-modeling go much farther in online classrooms. I gained a general idea of the course. Prof. Yusof, thank you.

WEEK 2

The first lecture of the week is titled "Introduction to Leadership." Prof explained the introduction of leadership in a very clear and concise manner. What does it mean to be a leader, what are the traits of a leader, what is leadership theory, and so on. I was able to understand from Prof's description that there are many things that a leader must follow and put into practice.

WEEK 3

Prof presented an in-depth and detailed overview of the homework for this course this week, before beginning the lecture. There are no examinations in this course; instead, there are assignments worth 100% of the grade. There are four assignments, each of which corresponds to a certain grade. The first assignment is a group presentation, the second is a "short talk," the third is a "interview," and the fourth is a portfolio that serves as a summary of this course, which includes numerous subtopics. I felt guided after listening to the assignment description because this course's grades are based on all four of these tasks.

WEEK 4

“Leadership Traits and Ethics” and “Leadership Behavior and Motivation” were two topics I learnt about today. We, as leaders of values and ethics, are desperately in need of our own values and ethics. It is critical to persuade others in the proper manner. This is to guarantee that we do not lose our subordinates' respect and trust.

WEEK 5

Contingency Leadership Theory is something I learnt about today. In terms of management, a leader must be able to advise and encourage people in order to reach collective objectives. I understand that a leader's performance is determined by a variety of elements, including the work environment, people, and corporate objectives. We need to have traits of self that are suited to ever-changing work conditions as organizational leaders. Today's class is really important.

WEEK 6

Today, I learnt about Conflict Resolution, Coaching, and Communication Skills. As leaders, we must be able to communicate effectively. In terms of successful communication, we are able to effectively transmit the message to the listener. We must make certain that the message is clear, succinct, and easy to comprehend. Leaders must allow listeners to express their thoughts and opinions. It has the potential to allow for good two-way communication. A leader must also embrace criticism as a means of identifying areas where they may improve. In order to achieve organizational harmony, both leaders and followers must have excellent communication abilities.

WEEK 7

Professor Yusof is lectures on topic 8 and 9 this week since next week will begin with a group presentation. The topic of today's lecture is "Team Leadership" and "Leading Self-Managed Teams." Prof reminded me of the homework for this course after today's session. Professor has set key deadlines for submitting assignments. He also assisted us in developing our own projects.

WEEK 8

The week began with group 1 and group 2 giving presentations on "Contingency Leadership Theories" and "Communication, Coaching, and Conflict Skills," respectively. Prof Yusof presented a more in-depth summary following the presentation, as he did after the first. Prof Yusof has shared his insights as a leader on effective communication, coaching, and conflict resolution techniques.

WEEK 9

The third and fourth group presentations, titled "The Leader-Follower Relationship" and "Team Leadership," respectively, kicked off today's session. Members of groups 3 and 4 provide a very clear presentation to help others realize how vital it is for an organization's aims to have a good connection between leaders and coworkers. Not only that, a team leader needs to follow specific traits to keep a good connection with their coworkers. Because without employees, there is no leader. Prof Yusof usually remarked this whenever he described the title. Prof provided a quick overview of both groups' presentations at the conclusion of class, as is customary.

WEEK 10

Prof gave a talk about "Charismatic and Transformational Leadership" this week. Prof Yusof constantly gives examples in his lectures so that the audience may comprehend the material. Following Prof.'s talk, the class was treated to a presentation by groups 5 and 6, titled "Leading Self-Managed Teams" and "Charismatic and Transformational Leadership," respectively. Prof has linked the title of the group presentation with the topic of today's lecture by delivering a quick overview after the presentation.

WEEK 11

This week, groups 7 and 8 spoke on the topic of "Level 5 Leadership" and "Authentic Leadership," respectively. I was able to learn more about a leader's knowledge and increasing the efficacy of their leadership from group 7's presentation. As a quick guide to our path as leaders, the five stages of leadership might be helpful. Team members who trust and follow the leader can develop strong and honest connections as a result of the leader's real behavior. Because of their constant and true leadership presentation, authentic leaders are typically able to generate trust and motivation in their colleagues. Each group's presentation exposed me to fresh material and equipped me with new knowledge.

WEEK 12

Groups 9 and 10 presented their final presentations, titled "Assessment of Personal Leadership Development" and "Leadership Performance," respectively, this week. These two titles taught me about a leader's assessment and performance in relation to their organization. Finally, this week is the semester's last class. In terms of each group's presentation, as well as Prof.'s worries, I'll use this as a guide. Thank you, Prof. Yusof, for all of your help and explanations.
